St. Peter Church is a territorial parish in the Diocese of Bridgeport, located in Danbury, Connecticut. Dedicated to Saint Peter, the apostle and first bishop of Rome, the parish serves a suburban community in Fairfield County.

History
St. Peter Parish was established in 1891 by the Diocese of Hartford (now Bridgeport) in response to growth in the Danbury area.[1]
The first Mass was celebrated on June 14, 1891, at the current church site, presided over by Bishop Lawrence McMahon.[2]
