Diocese of Nazaré
The Diocese of Nazaré, a suffragan diocese of the Latin Rite, was a historic diocese in Brazil. Established in the early twentieth century, it served the faithful in the region of Bahia before its suppression. Its territory was later incorporated into other ecclesiastical jurisdictions, and it now exists only as a titular see.

Establishment
The Diocese of Nazaré was established on 12 August 1913 by Pope Pius X to serve the growing Catholic population in the interior of Bahia, Brazil.
History
The diocese operated for several decades amid the expansion of the Catholic Church in northeastern Brazil. Its territory was reorganized in the mid-twentieth century, leading to suppression in 1957. The see was merged into the Archdiocese of São Salvador da Bahia and adjacent dioceses.
