Blessed Adilio Daronch
Blessed Adílio Daronch (born January 1, 1908 AD in Cerro Largo, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil; died March 28, 1924 AD in Rondinha, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil) was a young Brazilian Catholic who was killed at age 16 by a priest while trying to protect a young girl from assault. He was beatified by Pope Francis on October 14, 2018, as a martyr of charity. His feast day is October 14.

Biography
Adílio Daronch was born January 1, 1908, in Cerro Largo, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, to a family of Italian-Brazilian Catholic immigrants. He was a practicing Catholic who was 16 years old at the time of his death.
On March 28, 1924, near Rondinha in Rio Grande do Sul, he intervened to protect a young girl from a priest who was attempting to abduct her. In the confrontation he was killed.
He was beatified by Pope Francis on October 14, 2018, in Porto Alegre, Brazil, as a martyr of charity — recognized as having given his life in an act of selfless defense of another person. He was beatified alongside Blessed Albertina Berkenbrock, another young Brazilian Catholic victim from the same region.
