Establishment
The Archdiocese of Rosario was established on 15 February 1934 by Pope Pius XI as the Diocese of Rosario, carved from territory previously part of the Archdiocese of Santa Fe. It was elevated to the rank of metropolitan archdiocese on 12 August 1963.
History
