Campus and Formation
The campus includes a courtyard, a Main Chapel with stained glass windows, and the Oratory. A copy of Michelangelo's Pietà stands in the seminary plaza, placed in memory of Fr. John Thom. Formation follows the instructions of the Apostolic Exhortation Pastores Dabo Vobis and the Program for Priestly Formation (6th edition), informed by the Ratio Fundamentalis Institutionis Sacerdotalis, and is organized around a holistic integration of spiritual, human, intellectual, and pastoral dimensions. The seminary also includes a Pretheology Program.
Academics
St. John's Seminary offers an online Master of Arts in Pastoral Ministry (MAPM) program, including Lay Ministry and Youth Ministry degree tracks. The seminary's Lauro Library supports academic resources, and its faculty listing includes 22 named instructors.
Current Status
As of 2026, the seminary is led by Rector/President Rev. Leon Hutton. It continues to hold seminary formation programs and public events, including an annual gala scheduled for September 19, 2026 at the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels, and publishes a newsletter called The Evangelist.
