St. Benedict Church is a territorial parish in the Diocese of Charlotte, located in Charlotte, North Carolina. Dedicated to Saint Benedict, the sixth-century Italian abbot and father of Western monasticism, the parish serves a suburban community in Mecklenburg County.

History
St. Benedict Parish was established in 1968 by the Diocese of Charlotte in response to growth in the western suburbs of Charlotte.[1]
The first Mass was celebrated on September 15, 1968, at the St. Gabriel's Church, presided over by Bishop Peter Joseph Jarret.[2]
