Saint Herodion
Saint Herodion (died c. 1st century AD) was one of the persons greeted by Saint Paul in his Letter to the Romans (16:11): Greet my kinsman Herodion. Paul calls him a relative (syngenē), suggesting a Jewish connection. Eastern tradition venerated him as a bishop and martyr and one of the Seventy Disciples of Christ. His feast day is April 8 (with other Apostolic disciples) or March 10 (Eastern).

Biography
Herodion is known from a single verse of Scripture: Romans 16:11, in which Paul writes Greet my kinsman Herodion. The word Paul uses (syngenē) means a blood relative, suggesting Herodion was a fellow Jew and possibly related to Paul by family. He was apparently living in Rome when Paul wrote the letter (c. 57 AD) and was part of the Roman Christian community.
Eastern Christian tradition (as preserved in the Menologion and the lists of the Seventy Disciples) identifies him as a bishop — sometimes placed at Patras in Greece, sometimes at Tarsus or elsewhere — and a martyr. The historical basis for these traditions is not verifiable from Scripture or the earliest patristic sources.
He is venerated in the Greek Orthodox Church and in the Roman Martyrology as a holy figure of the apostolic generation.
