Saint Francis de Sales Seminary is a Catholic seminary in St. Francis, Wisconsin, that prepares men of all ages and backgrounds—including college students, college graduates, and professionals from the United States and around the globe—for the priesthood.
History
For over 180 years, Saint Francis de Sales Seminary has formed the minds, hearts, and souls of men discerning their call to the Catholic priesthood, blending its history with a priestly formation model adapted to the 21st century.
Campus and Formation
The Seminary is led by the Most Reverend Jeffrey S. Grob, archbishop of Milwaukee, and the Very Reverend Luke Strand, rector. Formation is organized around four dimensions: Human Formation, Spiritual Formation, Intellectual Formation, and Pastoral Formation, alongside defined Stages of Formation. The campus includes the Salzmann Library.
Current Status
The Seminary describes itself as experiencing a period of growth, welcoming a new generation of seminarians. It is currently conducting a capital campaign, "Zeal for the Lord's House," as a campaign of Christian service.
