Saint Daniel of Padua
Saint Daniel of Padua (died c. 168 AD in Padua, Veneto, Italy) was an early Christian convert and martyr at Padua. According to tradition, he was a young man converted by Saint Prosdocimus (the first Bishop of Padua, sent by Saint Peter) and was subsequently martyred for his faith. He is the patron of Padua alongside Saint Justina. His feast day is January 3.

Biography
Daniel was an early Christian convert at Padua, said to have been baptized by Saint Prosdocimus, the first Bishop of Padua. He was martyred for his faith and is venerated alongside Saint Justina as co-patron of the city. The Oratory of Saint Daniel in Padua, near the great Basilica of Saint Anthony, marks the site associated with his martyrdom. He is commemorated on January 3.
