Saint Cunibert
Saint Cunibert (also Kunibert; born c. 590 AD in Burgundy, France; died November 12, 663 AD in Cologne, Germany) was the Archbishop of Cologne and a trusted counselor of the Frankish King Sigebert III (for whom he served as regent during the king's minority). He is one of the patron saints of Cologne. His feast day is November 12.

Biography
Cunibert (Kunibert) was born in Burgundy around 590 AD into a Frankish noble family. He was educated at the court and became a cleric. He rose to become Archbishop of Cologne around 623 AD under the Frankish King Chlothar II.
He was an important figure in the Frankish court — a trusted counselor who combined ecclesiastical and political roles in the manner typical of Merovingian-era bishops. When King Dagobert I died (638 AD) and his young son Sigebert III became King of Austrasia, Cunibert served as regent, governing the kingdom alongside Grimoald, the Mayor of the Palace. He organized the Frankish Church, participated in synods, and worked to establish the Christian faith more deeply in the Rhine region.
He died on November 12, 663 AD at Cologne. A great collegiate church was built in his honor — the Stiftskirche St. Kunibert, one of the twelve Romanesque churches of Cologne — which preserves his relics. It is one of the finest examples of late Rhenish Romanesque architecture.
