Saint Brynoth
Saint Brynoth (also Brynolf, Brynolphus; born c. 1248 AD; died February 6, 1317 AD in Skara, Sweden) was Bishop of Skara in Sweden, a canon lawyer and theologian known for his pastoral care and promotion of Saint Birgitta of Sweden (though he predated Birgitta's own career by some decades). He was canonized informally through local episcopal recognition and later confirmed; his feast day in Sweden is February 6. He is venerated as a saint in the Catholic Church.

Biography
Saint Brynoth was Bishop of Skara in medieval Sweden from around 1278 to 1317. He governed the diocese with pastoral care, promoted religious life, and was known for his learning in canon law. He died on February 6, 1317. His veneration was confirmed in Sweden and he is observed in the Calendar of the Swedish Catholic Church. He is sometimes confused with the similar name Birgitta or associated with early Swedish saints.
