Saint Baudolino
Saint Baudolino (also known as Baldolino; died February 10, 740 AD near Alessandria, Piedmont, Italy) was an Italian peasant and hermit venerated as the patron saint of Alessandria in Piedmont. He was a simple farmer who lived a life of prayer and charity near Alessandria and was known in his lifetime for holiness and miraculous gifts. He is said to have performed miracles of healing and to have predicted the growth of a great city where his village stood—a prophecy associated in later tradition with the founding of Alessandria in 1168. His feast day is February 10.
