- Saint Alban of Britain (died c. 304 AD) — Proto-martyr of Britain; a Roman soldier or citizen of Verulamium who sheltered a Christian priest, was converted, and was martyred during the Diocletianic persecution; feast June 20. The city of St Albans, Hertfordshire, is named after him.
- Saint Alban Bartholomew Roe (1583–1642) — English Benedictine monk martyred under King Charles I; one of the Forty Martyrs of England and Wales; feast January 21.
