Litany for Those Experiencing Thyroid Imbalance
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
O Jesus, meek and humble of heart,
hear us.
From the exhaustion and brain fog that drain our daily strength,
Deliver us, O Jesus.
From envy of those whose bodies seem to function effortlessly,
Deliver us, O Jesus.
From discouragement over weight fluctuations, mood swings, and unpredictable cycles,
Deliver us, O Jesus.
From the temptation to despair of ever achieving hormonal balance or conceiving,
Deliver us, O Jesus.
From bitterness toward our own bodies or toward ongoing treatments and blood tests,
Deliver us, O Jesus.
From the fear that this imbalance will steal our fertility, energy, or future joy,
Deliver us, O Jesus.
That we may accept our thyroid’s weakness with patience and see our bodies as temples still loved by You,
Jesus, grant us the grace to desire it.
That we may trust Your timing and Your healing plan amid fluctuating symptoms and lab results,
Jesus, grant us the grace to desire it.
That every fatigue, every symptom, and every adjustment may draw us closer to You,
Jesus, grant us the grace to desire it.
That we may walk this hidden struggle in unity and tenderness with our spouse,
Jesus, grant us the grace to desire it.
That we may remain open to life and to whatever path of healing or fruitfulness You provide,
Jesus, grant us the grace to desire it.
That we may offer the daily cross of thyroid imbalance as a sacrifice of praise and trust,
Jesus, grant us the grace to desire it.
That in our weakness we may become a source of understanding, hope, and encouragement to others facing thyroid disorders,
Jesus, grant us the grace to desire it.
O Mary, Health of the Sick and Mother of Hope, pray for all women burdened by thyroid imbalance.
St. Joseph, protector of families, pray for us.
St. Anne and St. Joachim, pray for us.
St. Gianna Molla, patron of mothers and physicians, pray for us.
St. Raphael the Archangel, healer of the sick, pray for us.
Let us pray:
Lord Jesus, You who created us fearfully and wonderfully and who sustain every beat of our hearts, look with compassion on those who suffer from thyroid imbalance. Restore balance where there is disorder, renew our energy, and grant us peace in uncertainty. Make our bodies and souls fruitful in Your sight, whether through the gift of biological children or through the spiritual fruitfulness You have prepared for us.
Through the intercession of the Holy Family, grant us the grace to desire only what You desire, trusting that Your strength is made perfect in our weakness. Amen.
