Blessed Waltman of Augsburg
Blessed Waltman of Augsburg (also spelled Waltmann, Waltnann; died 19 November c. 1286) was a German Benedictine abbot and monastic reformer who served as abbot of the Monastery of the Holy Cross (Heilig-Kreuz Monastery) in Augsburg during the thirteenth century. A devoted promoter of the Benedictine Rule and monastic reform, Waltman worked to strengthen the spiritual discipline and learning of the religious community under his care. Biography
