Blessed Vigor of Normandy
Blessed Vigor (also known as Saint Wigo or Wigornanus; c. 600–628 AD, Normandy, France) was a Frankish bishop and saint who served as Bishop of Bayeux in Normandy and is venerated for his missionary work and ecclesiastical leadership during the early Merovingian period. He is recorded in early ecclesiastical calendars and is one of the earliest bishops of the Bayeux diocese. His feast day is celebrated on 1 November.

Biography
Blessed Vigor was born c. 600 at Bayeux in Normandy. He lived during the early Merovingian period, a time of Christian expansion and ecclesiastical organization in what is now France. He devoted his life to the Church and to the pastoral care of Christian communities in his region.
He was appointed Bishop of Bayeux, one of the principal sees of early Normandy. As bishop, he worked to strengthen ecclesiastical structures, to promote Christian faith and practice among the people of his diocese, and to establish the authority and traditions of the episcopal see. He served in this role throughout his life, gaining respect and veneration for his faithful leadership.
Vigor died on 1 November 628, at an advanced age. He was honored as a bishop-saint by the Christian faithful of Normandy. His memory became central to the traditions and identity of the Bayeux diocese, which bears his name in the dedication of its cathedral.
