Blessed Venantius of Camerino (Italian: San Venanzio di Camerino; c. 1300–26 May 1374, Camerino, Marche, Italy) was an Italian blessed and spiritual master who lived during the late medieval period. He was a renowned teacher of Christian spirituality and is venerated for his mystical writings and his role as a spiritual guide to numerous disciples. He is commemorated in the Catholic tradition on 26 May.

Biography

Blessed Venantius was born c. 1300 in Camerino, a city in the Marche region of central Italy. He devoted his life to spiritual pursuits and the contemplative life. He became known as a teacher of Christian spirituality and as a mystic whose spiritual insights and writings influenced many disciples and seekers of the spiritual life.
