Blessed Natale Pinot
Blessed Natale Pinot (born December 19, 1747 AD in Angers, France; died February 21, 1794 AD in Angers, France) was a French parish priest and martyr of the French Revolution, put to death for his refusal to take the schismatic oath demanded of the clergy. Also known as Noël Pinot, he is famously remembered for going to the guillotine vested for Mass. He is venerated as a Blessed and martyr of the Church. His feast day is February 21.
A zealous pastor devoted to the sick and the poor, Natale Pinot continued his priestly ministry in hiding after being deprived of his parish, until he was betrayed, arrested, and executed. He was beatified in 1926.

Biography
Noël (Natale) Pinot was born on December 19, 1747, at Angers in France. Ordained a priest, he devoted himself with great zeal to his ministry, and was especially remembered for his charity toward the sick and the poor, whom he served with tenderness. In 1788 he became parish priest of Le Louroux-Béconnais.
When the Revolution imposed the Civil Constitution of the Clergy, requiring an oath that the Church condemned as schismatic, Father Pinot refused to take it. For this he was deprived of his parish and, for a time, sentenced to be barred from it. Undeterred, he continued to exercise his priesthood secretly, moving among the faithful in disguise to celebrate Mass, administer the sacraments, and sustain the persecuted Catholics of the region.
He was at length betrayed and arrested, seized as he was vesting to celebrate Mass. Condemned to death, he was led to the guillotine at Angers on February 21, 1794, still wearing his priestly vestments, and went to his execution repeating the words with which the Mass then began: "Introibo ad altare Dei"—"I will go unto the altar of God." He was beatified on October 31, 1926, by Pope Pius XI. His feast is kept on February 21.
