Blessed Luigi Beltrame Quattrocchi
Blessed Luigi Beltrame Quattrocchi (born January 12, 1880 AD in Catania, Sicily, Italy; died November 9, 1951 AD in Rome, Italy) was an Italian lawyer and layman who, with his wife Blessed Maria Corsini, was the first married couple to be beatified together. A husband, father, and public servant, he is honored as a model of lay holiness lived out in marriage and family life. His feast day is November 25, the anniversary of the couple's wedding.
An esteemed jurist who served the Italian state, Luigi Beltrame Quattrocchi and his wife Maria raised a family marked by deep faith, from which came priests and a religious. Together they sanctified ordinary married and family life. He was beatified with his wife in 2001.

Biography
Luigi Beltrame Quattrocchi was born on January 12, 1880, at Catania in Sicily, and grew up in Rome. He studied law and became a distinguished jurist, serving in the legal service of the Italian state and rising to high positions, esteemed for his integrity and competence.
In 1905 he married Maria Corsini. Together they made their home in Rome a place of faith, and they raised four children. Their family life was ordered by prayer, daily Mass, devotion to the Eucharist and the Rosary, hospitality, and works of charity; during the wars they gave aid to refugees and the wounded. Three of their four children entered the consecrated or priestly life—two sons became priests (one a Trappist, one a diocesan priest) and a daughter a consecrated woman—while the fourth pursued a lay vocation.
Luigi and Maria are remembered for having sanctified the ordinary realities of marriage, parenthood, work, and civic life, living an intense Christian faith in the midst of the world. Late in Maria's life the couple made a private vow of continence by mutual agreement, deepening their shared consecration to God.
Luigi Beltrame Quattrocchi died in Rome on November 9, 1951; his wife Maria survived him by some years. On October 21, 2001, Pope John Paul II beatified the two together—the first time a married couple was beatified as a couple—during the twentieth anniversary year of his apostolic exhortation on the family. Their joint feast is kept on November 25, the anniversary of their marriage.
