Blessed John de Mavorga
Blessed John de Mavorga (born c. 1390 AD in Mayorga de Campos, Valladolid Province, Spain; died c. 1452 AD in Spain) was a Spanish Catholic Augustinian friar from Mayorga (Mavorga) in the kingdom of Castile, known for his holiness, preaching, and contemplative life. He was beatified by confirmed local cult. His feast day is October 23.

Biography
John de Mavorga was born c. 1390 in Mayorga (Mavorga), a town in the province of Valladolid in the Castilian meseta. He entered the Order of Hermits of Saint Augustine (Augustinians) and served as a friar in Castile, known for his holiness and preaching.
He lived during the turbulent reign of John II of Castile (1406-1454), a period of political faction struggles but also of spiritual renewal in the mendicant orders.
He died c. 1452. His feast day is October 23.
