Blessed John Eynon
Blessed John Eynon (born c. 1480 AD in England; died November 15, 1539 AD in Reading, Berkshire, England) was an English Catholic priest associated with Reading Abbey who was martyred at Reading during the dissolution of the monasteries for upholding the authority of the Pope. He is venerated among the English martyrs beatified by Pope Leo XIII on December 9, 1886. His feast day is November 15.

Biography
John Eynon was born c. 1480 in England. He was a priest associated with Reading Abbey, the great Benedictine monastery in Berkshire founded by King Henry I in 1121.
When Henry VIII's agents attempted to dissolve Reading Abbey in 1539 and its abbot Hugh Faringdon refused to cooperate, Eynon was caught up in the resulting prosecution. All three men — Faringdon, Eynon, and John Rugg — were condemned for upholding papal authority and rejecting Henry VIII's claim to be Supreme Head of the Church.
They were hanged, drawn, and quartered at Reading on November 15, 1539. He was beatified by Pope Leo XIII on December 9, 1886. His feast day is November 15.
