Blessed John Bufalari (born c. 1315 AD in Cascia, Umbria, Italy; died c. 1380 AD in Cascia, Umbria, Italy) was an Italian Catholic Augustinian friar from Cascia, Umbria, known for his holiness, penance, and mystical life. He is venerated as a relative of Saint Rita of Cascia and as a holy Augustinian friar of the same community. He was beatified by confirmed local cult. His feast day is June 22.

Biography
John Bufalari was born c. 1315 in Cascia, in the high Apennine mountains of Umbria, central Italy. He entered the Order of Hermits of Saint Augustine (Augustinians) and lived as a friar in Cascia, devoting himself to penance, prayer, and the mystical life.
His family name — Bufalari — connects him to the family tradition of Cascia and possibly to the family of Saint Rita of Cascia (1381-1457), who later entered the Augustinian convent in the same town. John Bufalari preceded Saint Rita's Augustinian vocation by a generation and represents the deep Umbrian Augustinian tradition that would nurture her.
He died c. 1380 in Cascia. His feast day is June 22.
