Blessed Joanna Maria Condesa Lluch (born June 6, 1862 AD in Valencia, Spain; died January 15, 1916 AD in Denia, Valencia, Spain) was a Spanish Catholic foundress of the Congregation of Sisters of the Holy Family (Hermanas de la Sagrada Familia) for the education and care of poor children and marginalized youth in Valencia. She was beatified by Pope John Paul II on March 23, 2003. Her feast day is January 15.

Biography

Joanna Maria Condesa Lluch was born June 6, 1862, in Valencia, Spain. She founded the Congregation of Sisters of the Holy Family (Hermanas de la Sagrada Familia) in 1880 for the education and care of poor children and marginalized youth, inspired by the model of the Holy Family of Nazareth.

Her congregation spread through the Valencia region, establishing schools, orphanages, and centers for at-risk youth.

She died January 15, 1916, in Denia, Valencia. She was beatified by Pope John Paul II on March 23, 2003. Her feast day is January 15.
