Blessed Jeremiah of Valachia (born June 29, 1556 AD in Zăvoi, Wallachia, Romania; died March 5, 1625 AD in Naples, Campania, Italy) was a Romanian-born Italian Catholic Capuchin lay brother who served for decades in the Capuchin friaries of Naples. Known for his mystical gifts, miracles, and holiness, he was beatified by Pope John Paul II on October 30, 1983. His feast day is March 5.

Biography
Jeremiah of Valachia was born June 29, 1556, in Zăvoi, Wallachia (present-day Romania). He traveled to Italy and entered the Capuchin Order in Naples as a lay brother. He spent nearly 40 years in the Capuchin friary at Naples, known for his mystical visions, miraculous healings, and his ministry to the poor.
He died March 5, 1625, in Naples. He was beatified by Pope John Paul II on October 30, 1983, the first person of Romanian origin to be beatified by the Catholic Church. His feast day is March 5.
