Blessed Jeanne Marie Rendu (born September 26, 1786 AD in Confort, Ain, France; died February 7, 1856 AD in Paris, France) was a French Catholic Daughter of Charity who spent 54 years serving the desperately poor of the Mouff district of Paris, caring for convicts, the mentally ill, foundlings, and the aged. She was beatified by Pope John Paul II on November 11, 2003. Her feast day is February 7.

Biography
Jeanne Marie Rendu was born September 26, 1786, in Confort, Ain. She entered the Daughters of Charity and arrived in the Mouffetard quarter of Paris in 1802, where she remained for 54 years.
Known to all as "la bonne Sœur Rosalie," she cared for convicts, the mentally ill, foundlings, the aged, and anyone who came to her without distinction. She directly inspired Frédéric Ozanam to found the Society of Saint Vincent de Paul in 1833. During the street uprisings of 1830 and 1848 she cared for the wounded on all sides.
She died February 7, 1856, in Paris. She was beatified by Pope John Paul II on November 11, 2003. Her feast day is February 7.
