Blessed Jane Louise Barre
Blessed Jane Louise Barré (born February 12, 1744 AD in Étampes, Île-de-France, France; died May 3, 1837 AD in Amiens, Picardy, France) was a French Catholic religious woman who founded the Sisters of the Holy Family (Sœurs de la Sainte-Famille) for the care of abandoned children and the poor. She persevered through the French Revolution, hiding and protecting her congregation while continuing her charitable work. She was beatified by Pope John Paul II on November 4, 1990. Her feast day is May 3.

Biography
Jane Louise Barré was born February 12, 1744, in Étampes, Île-de-France. She was called to religious life and founded the Sisters of the Holy Family for the care of abandoned children and the poor.
During the French Revolution she preserved her congregation by dispersing the sisters while continuing charitable work covertly. After the Concordat of 1801 she rebuilt her congregation in Amiens.
She died May 3, 1837, in Amiens. She was beatified by Pope John Paul II on November 4, 1990. Her feast day is May 3.
