Blessed Jan Nepomuk Chrzan
Blessed Jan Nepomuk Chrzan (born January 8, 1885 AD in Kościelec, Poland; died August 1, 1942 AD in Auschwitz, Poland) was a Polish Catholic Franciscan priest who was martyred at Auschwitz during the Nazi occupation of Poland. He is venerated among the 108 Martyrs of World War II beatified by Pope John Paul II on June 13, 1999. His feast day is June 12.

Biography
Jan Nepomuk Chrzan was born January 8, 1885, in Kościelec, Kujawy, Poland (then under Prussian partition). He entered the Franciscan Order and was ordained a priest.
After the Nazi invasion of Poland in September 1939, he was arrested and sent to Auschwitz concentration camp, where he died on August 1, 1942.
He was beatified by Pope John Paul II on June 13, 1999, in Warsaw, among the 108 Martyrs of World War II. His feast day is June 12.
