Blessed Humbeline
Blessed Humbeline (born c. 1092 AD in Fontaine-lès-Dijon, Burgundy, France; died August 21, 1141 AD in Jully-les-Nonnains, Burgundy, France) was a French Catholic Benedictine-Cistercian nun and the sister of Saint Bernard of Clairvaux. After a worldly early life, she was converted through a rebuke from her brother Bernard and entered the Benedictine priory of Jully-les-Nonnains, where she eventually became prioress. She was beatified by Pope Innocent IV. Her feast day is August 21.

Biography
Humbeline was born c. 1092 in Fontaine-lès-Dijon, Burgundy, the sister of Saint Bernard of Clairvaux. After her brothers entered the Cistercian monastery at Cîteaux in 1112, Humbeline married a nobleman and lived a fashionable court life.
C. 1120-1125, she visited her brothers at Clairvaux. Bernard rebuked her for her worldly manner and dress. Deeply moved, she obtained her husband's permission to enter religious life and entered the Priory of Jully-les-Nonnains. She eventually became prioress of the community and governed it until her death.
She died August 21, 1141, at Jully-les-Nonnains. She was beatified by Pope Innocent IV. Her feast day is August 21.
