Blessed Hugh of Bonnevaux
Blessed Hugh of Bonnevaux (born c. 1120 AD in Dauphiné, France; died April 1, 1194 AD in Bonnevaux, Dauphiné, France) was a French Catholic Cistercian monk who served as abbot of the Abbey of Bonnevaux in Dauphiné for many years. A nephew of Saint Hugh of Grenoble, he was instrumental in reconciling the Waldensian crisis in southern France. He was beatified by confirmed local cult. His feast day is April 1.

Biography
Hugh of Bonnevaux was born c. 1120 in Dauphiné, a nephew of Saint Hugh of Grenoble (1052-1132). He entered the Cistercian Order and became abbot of the Abbey of Bonnevaux in Dauphiné. He was involved in attempts to reconcile the early Waldensian movement with the Catholic Church.
He died April 1, 1194, at the Abbey of Bonnevaux. His feast day is April 1 — the same feast day as his uncle Saint Hugh of Grenoble in the traditional calendar.
