Blessed Hosanna Andreasi (born January 14, 1449 AD in Mantua, Lombardy, Italy; died June 18, 1505 AD in Mantua, Lombardy, Italy) was an Italian Catholic Dominican tertiary, mystic, and spiritual counselor. She experienced mystical visions and the spiritual stigmata, living in the world while following the Dominican Rule as a member of the Third Order. She served as a counselor to the Gonzaga lords of Mantua. She was beatified by Pope Innocent XII on June 18, 1694. Her feast day is June 18.

Biography

Hosanna Andreasi (Italian: Osanna Andreasi) was born January 14, 1449, in Mantua, Lombardy. She received the Dominican tertiary habit as a young woman and lived her entire life in Mantua in her family home, never entering a convent but following the Dominican Rule for tertiaries.

She experienced mystical visions, ecstasies, and the interior spiritual stigmata. She served as a spiritual counselor to Federico I Gonzaga and Francesco II Gonzaga, the lords of Mantua, earning widespread reputation for holiness during her lifetime.

She died June 18, 1505, in Mantua. She was beatified by Pope Innocent XII on June 18, 1694 — the same date as her death 189 years earlier. Her feast day is June 18.
