Blessed Henry Zdík (born c. 1083 AD in Bohemia, present-day Czech Republic; died June 25, 1150 AD in Olomouc, Moravia, present-day Czech Republic) was a Czech Catholic bishop of Olomouc and promoter of the Premonstratensian Order in Bohemia and Moravia. He founded the Premonstratensian Abbey of Strahov in Prague. His feast day is June 25.

Biography

Henry Zdík was born c. 1083 in Bohemia. He became bishop of Olomouc in Moravia in 1126 and served until his death. In 1143 he founded the Premonstratensian (Norbertine) Strahov Monastery in Prague — one of the most important monasteries of medieval Bohemia and still active today.

He died June 25, 1150, in Olomouc. His feast day is June 25.
