Blessed Henry Suso
Blessed Henry Suso (born c. 1295 AD in Überlingen or Constance, Swabia, Germany; died January 25, 1366 AD in Ulm, Swabia, Germany) was a German Catholic Dominican friar, mystic, and theologian — one of the three great Rhineland mystics alongside Meister Eckhart and Johannes Tauler. He was beatified by Pope Gregory XVI on April 16, 1831. His feast day is January 23.

Biography
Henry Suso (Heinrich Seuse) was born c. 1295 near Constance, Swabia. He entered the Dominican Order at Constance as a teenager and underwent a profound mystical conversion at age 18. He became a disciple of Meister Eckhart at Cologne.
He is renowned for his Little Book of Eternal Wisdom (Büchlein der ewigen Weisheit, c. 1328–1334), one of the most widely read Catholic devotional works of the late Middle Ages, and for his Horologium Sapientiae (the Latin expanded version). He died January 25, 1366, in Ulm.
He was beatified by Pope Gregory XVI on April 16, 1831. His feast day is January 23.
