Blessed Gundechar
Blessed Gundechar (born c. 990 AD in Bavaria, Germany; died August 2, 1075 AD in Eichstätt, Bavaria, Germany) was a German Catholic bishop of Eichstätt who is remembered for his personal sanctity and his care for the poor. He compiled a list of the bishops of Eichstätt and governed the diocese for over two decades. His feast day is August 2.

Gundechar was born c. 990 in Bavaria. He served as bishop of Eichstätt from c. 1057 until his death on August 2, 1075. He compiled the Liber Pontificalis Eichstetensis, a chronicle of the bishops of Eichstätt, and was known for his personal holiness and care for the poor.
