Blessed Giuseppina Nicoli (born July 18, 1863 AD in Caravate, Varese, Lombardy, Italy; died December 31, 1924 AD in Sassari, Sardinia, Italy) was an Italian Catholic Daughter of Charity of Saint Vincent de Paul who served the poor, sick, and marginalized in Sardinia for over three decades and was beatified by Pope John Paul II on October 3, 2004. Her feast day is December 31.

Biography

Giuseppina Nicoli was born July 18, 1863, in Caravate, Varese, Lombardy. She entered the Daughters of Charity of Saint Vincent de Paul and was sent to Sardinia, where she served for over thirty years in Sassari.

She served the poor, sick, abandoned children, and prisoners of Sassari, eventually becoming superior of her community. She was known for her deep charity and interior holiness in the Vincentian tradition.

She died December 31, 1924, in Sassari. She was beatified by Pope John Paul II on October 3, 2004. Her feast day is December 31.
