Blessed Giovanna Mary de Maille
Blessed Joan Mary de Maillé (born April 14, 1331 AD in La Roche-Saint-Quentin, Touraine, France; died March 28, 1414 AD in Tours, Touraine, France) was a French Catholic noblewoman, Franciscan tertiary, and mystic who lived a life of heroic charity and contemplative prayer in Touraine. She was beatified by Pope Pius VI in 1871. Her feast day is March 28.

Biography
Joan Mary de Maillé was born April 14, 1331, in La Roche-Saint-Quentin, Touraine, France, into the French nobility. In 1358 she married Robert de Sillé; the couple lived in continence by mutual agreement.
After her husband's death c. 1385, she was expelled from her home by her in-laws and embraced radical poverty as a Franciscan tertiary, settling in Tours near the tomb of Saint Martin and devoting herself to the poor and sick.
She died March 28, 1414, in Tours. She was beatified by Pope Pius VI. Her feast day is March 28.
