Blessed Giles of Lorenzana (born c. 1443 AD in Lorenzana, Galicia, Spain; died April 2, 1513 AD in Naples, Campania, Italy) was a Spanish Franciscan friar who was renowned for his holiness and ministry to the poor in Naples. He is venerated in the Franciscan tradition. His feast day is April 2.

Biography

Giles of Lorenzana was born c. 1443 in Lorenzana, Galicia, Spain, near the Benedictine monastery of Santa María de Lorenzana. He entered the Franciscan Order and made his way to Italy, where he ministered to the poor in Naples.

He died April 2, 1513, in Naples. He is venerated as a blessed in the Franciscan tradition. His feast day is April 2.
