He is venerated among the martyrs of the Armenian Genocide beatified by Pope Francis on October 3, 2021. His feast day is July 22.

Biography

Jeremiah Oghlou Boghos was an Armenian Catholic layman living in the Ottoman Empire. He was killed on July 22, 1916, during the Armenian Genocide — the systematic extermination of the Armenian people carried out by the Ottoman government beginning in 1915.

He is venerated among the martyrs of the Armenian Genocide recognized by the Catholic Church. He was beatified by Pope Francis on October 3, 2021, along with other Armenian Catholic martyrs. His feast day is July 22.
