Blessed George Swallowell (died July 26, 1594 AD in Darlington, County Durham, England) was an English Catholic convert and deacon who was martyred in Darlington, County Durham, for reconciling with the Catholic Church and receiving the Sacraments from a Catholic priest. He was beatified by Pope John Paul II on November 22, 1987, as one of the 85 Martyrs of England and Wales. His feast day is July 26.

George Swallowell was an English Protestant deacon from County Durham who converted to Catholicism, receiving the Sacraments from a Catholic priest. Under the Elizabethan penal laws, this act of reconciliation with the Catholic Church was potentially a capital offense.

He was arrested and executed — hanged and quartered — in Darlington, County Durham, on July 26, 1594.

He was beatified by Pope John Paul II on November 22, 1987, as one of the 85 Martyrs of England and Wales. His feast day is July 26.
