Blessed Francois Peltier
Blessed François Peltier (died February 3, 1794 AD in Avrillé, Anjou, France) was a French Catholic priest martyred for his faith during the Reign of Terror of the French Revolution in the Anjou region of France. He is venerated among the Martyrs of Avrillé, a group of French Catholics killed in the anti-religious persecutions of 1794 and beatified by Pope John Paul II on February 19, 1984. His feast day is February 19.

Biography
François Peltier was a French Catholic priest from the Anjou region of France. He was a "non-juring" priest who refused to take the oath required by the Revolutionary Civil Constitution of the Clergy — an oath that would have placed him under state control and separated him from Rome.
He was arrested, tried by the Revolutionary Tribunal, and executed at Avrillé, near Angers, on February 3, 1794 — the feast of Saint Blaise.
He is venerated among the Martyrs of Avrillé (Martyrs of Angers), a group of 99 French Catholics beatified by Pope John Paul II on February 19, 1984. His feast day is February 19.
