Blessed Fidelis Chojnacki
Blessed Fidelis Chojnacki (born August 6, 1906 AD in Piotrków Trybunalski, Łódź Voivodeship, Poland; died July 9, 1942 AD in Auschwitz concentration camp, Oświęcim, Poland) was a Polish Franciscan friar and priest who was martyred by the Nazis in Auschwitz concentration camp. He was beatified by Pope John Paul II on June 13, 1999, in Warsaw, as one of the 108 Polish Martyrs of World War II. His feast day is June 12.

Biography
Fidelis Chojnacki was born August 6, 1906, in Piotrków Trybunalski, Poland. He entered the Franciscan Order and was ordained a priest, taking the religious name Fidelis.
During the German Nazi occupation of Poland (1939–1945), he was arrested by the Nazi authorities. He was sent to Auschwitz concentration camp, where he died on July 9, 1942.
He was beatified by Pope John Paul II on June 13, 1999, in Warsaw, Poland, as one of the 108 Polish Martyrs of World War II. His feast day is June 12.
