Blessed Elias of Bourdeilles
Blessed Elias of Bourdeilles (born c. 1407 AD in Périgord, Dordogne, France; died November 5, 1484 AD in Saintes, Charente-Maritime, France) was a French Franciscan friar, theologian, and church prelate who served as Bishop of Périgueux and Archbishop of Tours, and was created a cardinal by Pope Sixtus IV. He was beatified by Pope Leo XII on May 5, 1822. His feast day is November 5.

Biography
Elias of Bourdeilles (Élie de Bourdeilles) was born around 1407 in Périgord, France, into the noble Bourdeilles family, one of the most ancient and distinguished houses of southwestern France.
He entered the Order of Friars Minor (Franciscans) and became a theologian. He was appointed Bishop of Périgueux in 1437. In 1468 he was elevated to Archbishop of Tours, one of the most prestigious sees in France, associated with the memory of Saint Martin of Tours.
In 1483 Pope Sixtus IV created him a cardinal, with the title of cardinal-priest of Santi Quattro Coronati in Rome.
He died on November 5, 1484, at Saintes, Charente-Maritime.
He was beatified by Pope Leo XII on May 5, 1822. His feast day is November 5.
