Blessed Dimbalac Oghlou Wartavar
Blessed Dimbalac Oghlou Wartavar (died 1895 AD in Muş Province, Ottoman Empire, present-day Turkey) was an Armenian Catholic layman and martyr who was killed during the Hamidian massacres of Armenian Christians in the Ottoman Empire in 1895. He was among the companions of Blessed Salvatore Lilli, a Franciscan priest martyred alongside seven Armenian Catholic laymen in Anatolia. He was beatified by Pope John Paul II on October 3, 1982, as part of the group of Salvatore Lilli and Companions. His feast day is November 22.

Biography
Dimbalac Oghlou Wartavar was an Armenian Catholic layman living in the Muş province of eastern Anatolia. His name follows the Ottoman Armenian naming convention: "Dimbalac, son of Wartavar" — the name "Wartavar" itself referencing the great Armenian feast of the Transfiguration.
He was a member of the Armenian Catholic community served by the Italian Franciscan missionary Father Salvatore Lilli. During the Hamidian massacres of November 1895, he was arrested together with Father Lilli and six other laymen and offered the choice between conversion to Islam or death.
He refused to apostatize and was killed on November 22, 1895.
He was beatified by Pope John Paul II on October 3, 1982, as one of the Companions of Blessed Salvatore Lilli. His feast day is November 22.
