Blessed Costanza Starace
Blessed Costanza Starace (born 1556 AD in Naples, Campania, Italy; died February 25, 1593 AD in Naples, Campania, Italy) was an Italian Dominican tertiary of Naples who was known for her mystical gifts, her severe penances, and her apostolate of prayer and charity in 16th-century Naples. A member of the Dominican Third Order, she lived a life of contemplative prayer and active service to the poor of Naples during the Spanish viceroyalty period. She is venerated with a feast on February 25.
