Blessed Colomba Gabriel (born January 3, 1858 AD in Trevisago, Varese, Lombardy, Italy; died February 24, 1926 AD in Rome, Italy) was an Italian Dominican nun and foundress of the Missionary Sisters of the School of Saint Rosalia (also known as the Sisters of Our Lady of the Cenacle), a congregation dedicated to Christian education and the renewal of families. She spent her life in service to the Church's educational mission, animated by the Dominican spirituality of contemplation and apostolic action. She was beatified by Pope John Paul II on April 25, 1997. Her feast day is February 24.

Biography

Colomba Gabriel was born January 3, 1858, in Trevisago in the Varese province of Lombardy. She entered religious life and founded the Missionary Sisters of the School of Saint Rosalia — a congregation dedicated to Christian education and family renewal in the Dominican tradition.

She guided her congregation for decades and died February 24, 1926, in Rome. She was beatified by Pope John Paul II on April 25, 1997. Her feast day is February 24.
