Blessed Chiara Agolanti
Blessed Chiara Agolanti (born c. 1282 AD in Rimini, Emilia-Romagna, Italy; died February 3, 1340 AD in Rimini, Emilia-Romagna, Italy) was an Italian Dominican tertiary from Rimini who devoted her life to severe penance, contemplative prayer, and service to the poor and sick. A member of a noble Riminese family, she joined the Third Order of Saint Dominic and lived a life of extraordinary austerity and mystical prayer in her home city. She is venerated locally in Rimini with a feast on February 3.
