Blessed Celina Chludzinska
Blessed Celina Chłudzińska Borzecka (born January 29, 1833 AD in Poland; died October 6, 1913 AD in Kraków, Lesser Poland, Poland) was a Polish Catholic widow and Discalced Carmelite tertiary who, together with her daughter Blessed Jadwiga Borzecka, helped found the first Discalced Carmelite monastery in Kraków. A woman of the Polish nobility who converted from a worldly life to one of deep prayer and charity after the death of her husband, she devoted the remainder of her long life to contemplative spirituality, charitable work, and the promotion of the Carmelite spirit. She and her daughter Jadwiga were beatified together by Pope John Paul II at Zakopane, Poland, on June 6, 1997, during his sixth pastoral visit to his homeland. Her feast day is October 6 (or jointly with her daughter).

Biography
Celina Chłudzińska was born January 29, 1833, into a family of the Polish nobility. She married and became Celina Borzecka. After her husband's death, she underwent a profound spiritual conversion and devoted herself to prayer, charity, and the Carmelite spiritual tradition.
Together with her daughter Jadwiga Borzecka, she helped establish the Discalced Carmelite monastery in Kraków — enriching the contemplative life of the ancient royal capital of Poland. She became a Discalced Carmelite Tertiary and devoted her widowhood to deep prayer and charitable work among the poor.
She died October 6, 1913, in Kraków, at the age of 80.
She was beatified jointly with her daughter Blessed Jadwiga Borzecka by Pope John Paul II at Zakopane on June 6, 1997, during his sixth pastoral visit to Poland. Her feast day is October 6.
