Blessed Bronislava of Poland
Blessed Bronislava of Poland (born c. 1203 AD in Kamień Śląski, Silesia, Poland; died August 29, 1259 AD near Kraków, Poland) was a Polish Norbertine (Premonstratensian) canoness who is venerated as a blessed for her mystical gifts, her life of prayer and penance, and her hermitical vocation at the rocky outcropping known as the Rock of the Wawel (or Skała) near Kraków. She was the cousin of Saint Hyacinth of Poland (Jacek Odrowąż, 1185–1257) — one of the great Dominican missionaries of northern Europe — and a native of Silesia who spent her religious life in Lesser Poland near Kraków. She was beatified by Pope Clement X in 1673. Her feast day is August 30 (or September 1).

Biography
Bronislava was born around 1203 in Kamień Śląski, Silesia, a member of the noble Odrowąż family — the same family as Saint Hyacinth of Poland (1185–1257), her cousin, who was received into the Dominican Order by Saint Dominic himself.
She entered the Premonstratensian (Norbertine) Convent of Zwierzyniec near Kraków, one of the oldest Norbertine foundations in Poland. She lived as a canoness and, later, withdrew to a hermitage in the rocky hillside near the convent, devoting herself to deeper solitude and prayer. She was gifted with mystical experiences.
She died August 29, 1259, at Zwierzyniec. She was beatified by Pope Clement X in 1673. Her feast day is August 30.
