Blessed Brian Lacey
Blessed Brian Lacey (died December 10, 1591 AD in Tyburn, London, England) was an Irish-born Catholic layman who was hanged at Tyburn in London on December 10, 1591, for the crime of harboring a Catholic priest — specifically for having sheltered Blessed Montford Scott, a seminary priest, in his home. He is one of the 85 Martyrs of England and Wales — a large group of Catholics martyred during the Elizabethan and Jacobean persecutions, beatified collectively by Pope John Paul II on November 22, 1987. His feast day is December 10.

Biography
Brian Lacey was born in Ireland. He settled in London, where, during the reign of Queen Elizabeth I, he sheltered a Catholic priest — Blessed Montford Scott — in his home, in defiance of the Elizabethan Penal Laws that made harboring a priest a capital offense.
He was arrested and tried. He was hanged at Tyburn on December 10, 1591, alongside Blessed Montford Scott, the priest he had sheltered.
He was beatified by Pope John Paul II on November 22, 1987, as one of the 85 Martyrs of England and Wales. His feast day is December 10.
