Blessed Bertha de'Alberti
Blessed Bertha de'Alberti (Italian: Beata Berta degli Alberti; died March 24, 1163 AD at Cavriglia, Tuscany, Italy) was an Italian Benedictine nun of the noble Alberti family who served as abbess of the Vallombrosan convent of San Salvatore at Cavriglia. She is venerated as a Benedictine Blessed of the Vallombrosan reform. Her feast day is March 24.
Born into the powerful Alberti counts of Tuscany, Bertha entered monastic life and rose to govern the convent of Cavriglia, which she led with prudence and holiness. Her cult has long been maintained in the region and among the Vallombrosan Benedictines.

Biography
Bertha degli Alberti belonged to the noble family of the Alberti, counts prominent in Tuscany during the twelfth century. Choosing the religious life, she became a Benedictine nun in the tradition of the Vallombrosan reform, which had spread among the monasteries of the region.
She was made abbess of the convent of San Salvatore at Cavriglia, in the hills of Tuscany, which she governed with a reputation for wisdom, discipline, and sanctity. Under her leadership the community flourished in its life of prayer and observance.
Bertha died at Cavriglia on March 24, 1163. She was venerated as a Blessed, and her memory has been preserved in the local church and among the Vallombrosan Benedictines. Detailed records of her early life are limited, but her role as a holy abbess is firmly held in tradition.
