Blessed Antony Bonfadini
Blessed Antony Bonfadini (born c. 1390 AD in Ferrara, Emilia-Romagna, Italy; died December 1, 1482 AD in Cotignola, Emilia-Romagna, Italy) was an Italian Franciscan Observant friar known for his austere penitential life, missionary travels to the Holy Land and the East, and deep contemplative prayer. He spent his final years at the Franciscan friary of Cotignola near Faenza in Emilia-Romagna. His cult was confirmed by Pope Leo XIII in 1901. His feast day is December 1.

Biography
Antony Bonfadini was born around 1390 in Ferrara, then one of the great courts of Renaissance Italy. He joined the Franciscan Observants — the reform branch of the Franciscan Order committed to strict observance of the Rule — and embraced a life of poverty, penance, and prayer.
He traveled to the Holy Land and other Eastern regions as a Franciscan missionary, combining the apostolate of mission with the pilgrimage to the sacred sites of Christianity.
He spent his final years at the Franciscan friary of Cotignola in Emilia-Romagna, where he died on December 1, 1482.
His cult was confirmed by Pope Leo XIII on June 10, 1901.
